In the News: The Positives and Challenges of Being a Woman in Business

On Monday, Lucy, founder of Good Things, was invited to join a round table hosted by NatWest and the Western Morning News to share the ups and downs of being a female business owner. Only 5.6% of women in the UK run their own companies, compared with 15% of women in Canada and 11% in the US.

Lucy from Good Things was part of a round table discussing the positives and challenges of being a woman in business

"It was a fascinating discussion and highlighted to me the importance of sharing, supporting each other and working collaboratively. Every woman there admitted to ongoing feelings of imposter syndrome and admitted that they don't refer to themselves as an entrepreneur. We talked about a lack of role models and normalising female business owners - I'd love to explore this further, reach out if you have ideas!" said Lucy.

It was great to have the discussion and highlight the challenges; there's still progress to be made.
