This gorgeous necklace is made from tagua beads ethically sourced from Ecuador. We love this combination of beautiful blues and purples

Good Things:

  • Lydia sources tagua beads from Ecuador, supporting artisans she knows from her time living and working there. The artisans pick and dry the seeds, before sanding, dyeing and shaping them. Lydia then designs and assembles these necklaces by hand in the UK
  • Plastic free and made from naturally occurring tagua seeds - also known as vegetable ivory
  • Tagua is a biodegradable and sustainable material. The tagua seeds are collected once they've ripened and fallen from the tree, causing no harm to the tree itself. This activity encourages people to value and protect these important natural habitats
  • Lydia Miriam donates 10% of profits to a life changing charity in Ecuador
  • Presented in an upcycled sari gift bag, made by empowered artisans in India

This beautiful necklace is made from tagua beads, derived from a naturally occurring nut from the forests of Ecuador. Each bead is made from a slice of the tagua nut and is unique. While bold and striking, the beads are very light so you'll love wearing this necklace all day long. These necklaces have an adjustable cord so you can mix it up!

What you get:

The necklace measures 60cm from top to bottom but has an adjustable waxed cotton cord. The tagua beads measure approximately 5cm across

Presented in a unique upcycled sari gift bag measuring approximately 20cm x 12.5cm

Please note: tagua beads are naturally occurring and the shape and colour of each bead varies slightly. We think this is part of the appeal as every necklace is unique!
